Dear ComiRades,
June Has Been a Very Demanding Month for Yours Truly, Both in terms of Professional and Personal Life. And that Can be seen in the Number of Posts That has been made in TCU, The Least Number of Posts in any Month since TCU’s Inception. Well, Let’s Hope that Everything gets well in the Month of July which happens to be a Month of Some Importance in terms of Comics History.
As Part of the Ongoing Series, TCU is Back with some of the news articles that Most of the ComiRades Has read somewhere the other. Still in terms of documenting them and collecting them under one label, it helps to assort them here in TCU in this nostalgia Post on Comics News. It also Does answer the ComiRades who were enquiring why there was no Comics News for the last 2 months. Ever since the New Series on Prakash Publishers got started, We couldn’t deviate from the topic and Hopefully this post satisfies them, in a way.
Now, Records Point that This Particular article is Part of Muthu Fan’s Earlier Site (Before the Blog). However, TCU has read this article only When this particular post was Discussed and It helps to Have a ComiRade Such As Ayyampalayam Venki Sir to get the Scans and the Book in Minutes. Now, When Muthu Fan is Having this Article as part of his Site, Doesn’t it Indicate that When he started, He Was The King of Bloggers and History Tells that He IS and WILL BE. TCU Salutes The Great Muthu Fan for Showing Us The Way. Kudos To The ComiRade Who, Now, Officially Owns www.muthucomics.com site as well.
Now, Our Editor is such a Nice person that He recognised the effort made By Author of the Article and Immediately he Thanked Him in the very next Issue and Many-a-ComiRade will vouch that They Bought this particular India Today Issue Just for the Interview Alone, Unlike Ayyampalayam Sir Who Happens to Be a Long Time Reader of That.

This Particular Article Has a Sweet Story to Share. The Date was 4th March 2007 and Yours Truly was About to meet another Comics Fan and when informed that TCU’s On the way, That Particular Gentleman Said that “I Have a ComiRade with Me & He is From the Same Pin Code as that of You” and Gave the Phone To Ayyampalayam Sir. Guess What our first Conversation over Phone Was? He Immediately Tipped on the Chutti Vikatan Cover Story and TCU Bought That Magazine and Met Him That Night Itself. Till Date it remains the only issue of that Magazine that TCU Has Bought.
In Fact, That 1st ever meeting was so memorable for another reason as well. He Gave the Information on the Availability of 300+ Indrajal Comics for sale from a Comics Book Seller. As it was very late, The Seller Closed the Shop and Went Off. TCU Bought them the very Next week and proudly completed the Indrajal English Set and Guess what? While Carrying them to Home, Ayyampalayam Sir Visited Yours Truly’s Home for the 1st Time. As a Memorabilia, TCU Has given that particular Chutti Vikatan Magazine to Ayyampalaym Sir & It remains with Him.

When Deccan Chronicle Launched in Chennai, it actually gave a new way of Looking and reading things, which we normally would not notice. They are known to bring notice to some fact which we may not get to read in other News Papers. Here is One such article about a Die Hard ComiRade and One Of TCU’ Good Friend. In Fact, After this article, TCU Has personally visited him more than couple of times.
The reason for Masking the Address of the ComiRade is to lessen the Hindrances that arise once your identity is published in any media. As usual, This article was also got published by Prakash Publishers and This Particular ComiRade Happens to be a Personal Favourite for Editor S Vijayan and That Was The Reason why He Commented in This ComiRade’s Blog for the 1st Time Ever in any Blog on Comics.
